These guides walk through the core flows in EZ Buckets — from creating and tracking games to
organizing full leagues. Use the menu to jump straight to a topic.
Games
Creating and joining games, adding players, assigning roles, recording stats, ending games,
claiming stats, and using the Games tab filters.
Tip: Game codes are important. Share the correct game code with other users so they can join or view the right game.
1.Understanding the Games Tab
The Games tab is where you can view, search, join, and manage your games in EZ Buckets. From this screen, you can filter games based on your role or the type of game.
Main filters
All — Shows your overall game list. This can include games where you are the creator, admin, player, or viewer.
Admin — Shows games where you are either the creator or an admin. These are games where you may have management or stat-tracking access.
Played — Shows games where you participated as a player. Use this to quickly find games you played in and check your stats.
Important: You can be both an admin and a player in the same game. For example, you may help record stats while also being listed as a player on the roster.
Game type and league filters
On the right side of the Games tab, use the filter to show All games, Casual games, or games from leagues you have joined. This makes it easier to separate pick-up games from league games.

2.How to Create a Game
Creating a game lets you set up a basketball game so you can start tracking live stats for both teams.
Go to the Games tab — This is where you can see existing games, enter a game code, view pending invites, and create a new game.
Tap New Game — Tap the yellow New Game button at the bottom of the screen.
Choose the game format — Select Quarters for a 4-period game or Halves for a 2-period pick-up or recreational game.
Create the game — After the format is selected, EZ Buckets brings you to the stat tracking screen.
Check the game code — A unique game code appears at the top of the game screen.
Share the game code — Tap the copy icon beside the game code, then share it with players, admins, or users who need access.
Why the game code matters: The game code connects other users to the correct game. Users can enter the code from the Games screen using the Enter game code field.
Tap New GameChoose Quarters or HalvesGame code appears after creation
3.How to Join a Game
Joining a game lets you access a game that was already created by another user. You will need the game code shared by the creator or someone with access to the game.
Get the game code — Ask the creator or admin to share the code shown at the top of the game screen.
Go to the Games tab — Use the Enter game code field at the top of the screen.
Enter the code — Type or paste the game code, then tap the arrow button.
Review Game Found — Make sure the code, teams, and status match the game you want to join.
Tap Join Game — The game will be added to your Games list.
Open the game — You can now view the score, box score, and game details.
Player or observer access: When you join a game, you usually join with a player or observer view. The creator decides who can log stats by assigning roles.
Enter code and searchReview Game FoundJoined view
4.How to Add Players in a Game
Before tracking stats, make sure players are added to the correct team roster. Inside a game, go to the Players tab. You can add players to Team A or Team B in three ways.
Option 1: Import Team Roster
Use Import Team Roster if you already created a team and want to bring that team roster into the game. Select Team A or Team B, tap Import Team Roster, choose the saved team, and tap the arrow button.
Option 2: Add Player by Username or Email
Use Add Player by Username if the player already has an EZ Buckets account. Search for the username or email, select the user, and tap the invite icon. An invitation will be sent to that user.
Option 3: Quick Add New Player
Use Quick Add New Player if you want to add a player quickly. Enter the jersey number and name, then tap Add to Roster. This is useful for casual games or players who do not have an EZ Buckets account yet.
Invitations page: The Invitations page shows pending player invitations. The creator can review pending invites and cancel them if needed.
Game roles control who can record stats inside a game. By default, the person who created the game is the Creator. The creator can invite another user to become an Admin.
Open the game — Go to the Games tab and open the game.
Tap Roles — The Roles button is in the upper-right corner of the game screen.
Invite an admin — Search for the user by name or email under Invite Admin, then tap the invite icon.
Wait for the user to accept — The invited user receives a game invitation and can accept or decline.
Confirm the role — After the user accepts, check the Box Score tab to see who is listed as creator and admin.
Admin access: Admins can record stats for the game. This is useful when multiple people help track the same game.

6.How to Record Stats
After creating a game and adding players, record live stats from the Track tab. Each button on the screen represents a stat that can be logged.
Stat buttons
Shooting: 2PT Made, 2PT Miss, 3PT Made, 3PT Miss, FT Made, FT Miss.
Other stats: REB, AST, STL, BLK, TO, and FOUL.
Open the game and go to Track — This is the main stat-tracking screen.
Select the correct quarter or half — Make sure Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, H1, or H2 is selected before logging the stat.
Tap the stat button — Choose the stat that happened in the game.
Select the player — When EZ Buckets asks Who did it?, select the player who performed the action.
Check the last action — The What happened? area confirms the most recent stat.
Undo if needed — Tap Undo beside the last action if you selected the wrong stat, player, team, or period.
Review Logs and Box Score — The Logs tab updates right away, and the Box Score reflects updated player and team stats.
Period accuracy: Always confirm the correct quarter or half before logging. This ensures the stat appears in the right period in the Logs and Box Score.
After the game is finished, end the game in EZ Buckets. Ending the game changes the status from Live to Completed and finalizes the stats.
Open the game — Go to the Games tab and open the game you want to end.
Go to the Info tab — The Info tab shows game details such as game code, game type, status, date, time, teams, and league information.
Scroll down — At the bottom of the Info tab, find the End Game button.
Tap End Game — The game status changes from Live to Completed.
Badges and profile stats: Ending the game is important because it allows final stats and badges to reflect on player profiles. If a game should count toward badges, make sure it is ended after recording is finished.
After a game is ended, the Info tab shows a Reopen Game button. Use this only if you need to make corrections.
Info tab: End GameCompleted game + Reopen Game
8.How to Claim Your Stats
Claiming your stats links your EZ Buckets account to the player record inside a game. This is useful when someone else created the game or added your name to the roster.
Join or open the game — Use the game code if the game is not yet in your list.
Go to Players or Box Score — You can claim from either the Players tab or the Box Score tab.
Tap Claim beside your player — Find your name and jersey number, then tap Claim.
Check the confirmation tag — EZ Buckets will show labels such as You, Claimed, That's me!, or You are in Team A.
Go to Profile — Your claimed game should appear in My Game Log with your stats.
Make sure it is you: Claim the correct player name and jersey number so the right game stats are connected to your profile.

Joining a league lets your team become part of an organized league in EZ Buckets. To join a league, you need the league code from the league creator or admin.
Before you start
You must already have a team created, or you must already be included in a team.
You need the league code from the league creator or admin.
Your request must be approved before your team becomes part of the league.

3.How to Add Teams to a League

Option 1: Add Team by Team Code

Go to the Info tab.

Tap Done when finished.
Use Import from My Teams when the team is already under your account or available in your team list.
Important: Only league creators and admins can add teams to the league. If you send an invite by team code, the other team must accept before it becomes part of the league.

Important: Admins are added by username. Once a user accepts the admin role, they can see requests and create league games.
5.How to Create a League Game
League games should be created from inside the league record. This makes sure the game is properly connected to the league.
Open the league.
Go to the Games tab inside the league.
Tap the yellow New Game button.
Select the Home Team.
Select the Away Team.
Choose the game format: Quarters or Halves.
Tap Start Game.
After the game is created, it opens in the regular stat tracking screen. You can record stats using the same tracking flow as a normal game.
The league game will also appear inside the main Games tab. It will include a league label so users can identify that the game belongs to a league.
Important: Only teams already added to the league can be selected for a league game.
6.How League Games Appear on Your Profile
League games can appear on your profile after your stats are connected to your account.
My Stats
On your profile, league games appear separately from casual games. This lets you see your league performance clearly, including averages and total stats from that league.
Bronze league highlight
If a game belongs to a Bronze league, it will show a bronze-style league label. This makes league games easy to identify in My Stats, My Game Log, and All Games.
My Game Log
League games can show the league name and tier beside the game. This helps you know which stats came from casual games and which stats came from league games.
Important: To make league stats appear correctly, claim your stats in the game and make sure the game is connected to the correct league. Ending the game is also important so final stats and badges can reflect properly.
7.Avoid Being Claimed on Multiple Teams in the Same League
Inside a league, EZ Buckets may show a warning if you are connected to more than one team.
Example warning: You are on 2 teams in this league. This may affect stat tracking and standings.
Why this matters
It may cause confusion when league games are created.
It may affect stat tracking.
It may affect standings.
It may affect how league stats appear on your profile.
What to do
Before the league games begin, check which team you are claimed under. If you are connected to more than one team, unclaim yourself from the extra team or teams.
Best Practice: Make sure you are only claimed under one team in a league before the game begins. This helps avoid stat tracking issues.
8.How to Delete a League
If you are the league creator or have the correct permissions, you can delete a league from the league Info tab.
Open the league.
Go to the Info tab.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Tap Delete League.
Review the confirmation message.
Tap Delete only if you are sure.
What happens after deleting a league
The league is removed from active league management.
The teams inside the league are not deleted.
If players already claimed stats, their profile history can remain intact.
Badges earned from that league can still reflect on user profiles.
Historical records may show Deleted League instead of wiping the league completely.
Important: If a player has claimed stats, EZ Buckets may show Deleted League in history instead of completely wiping the league. This preserves badges, claimed stats, and profile history.
