EZ Buckets

EZ Buckets ("the App") is a basketball stat tracking application developed and operated by Miguel Software Publishing Service ("MSPS," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App. By using EZ Buckets, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1 Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the App's features. The data we collect falls into two categories:

A. Information You Provide Directly

Username	To identify your account and display your public profile to other users.
Email address	To create and authenticate your account. Your email is never shared with other users or third parties.
Password	To secure your account. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
Profile photo	Optional. Stored as encoded image data associated with your account.
Game data	Basketball games you create, including team names, player names, jersey numbers, and stat events (points, rebounds, assists, etc.).
Team & league data	Teams and leagues you create or join, including names, descriptions, and membership roles.
Social data	Users you follow, player stat claims, and badge showcase selections.

B. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your location or GPS data.
We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking tools.
We do not access your contacts, camera roll, health data, or any other device sensors.
We do not collect any financial or payment information.

2 How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the App's functionality:

Account management: Creating, authenticating, and maintaining your account.
Core features: Recording basketball stats, managing teams and leagues, generating box scores and badges.
Social features: Displaying your username and profile to other users, enabling follows, and populating the activity feed.
Security: Protecting your account through password hashing and token-based authentication.

            We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purpose.
        

3 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using the following measures:

All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase (cloud infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region).
The backend API is hosted on Railway and communicates exclusively over HTTPS (TLS/SSL encryption in transit).
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. We never store or have access to your plain-text password.
Authentication tokens (JWT) are stored securely on your device using iOS Keychain, not in plain-text storage.
API endpoints are protected by rate limiting, input validation, and role-based access controls.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4 Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal information with any third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use Supabase (database hosting) and Railway (server hosting) to operate the App. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

Your email address is never visible to other users of the App. Only your username and profile photo are publicly visible.

5 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers, including:

Your user profile, email, and password hash
All games you created and their associated stat events
All teams and leagues you created
Your badges, showcase selections, and social connections
Player claims, join requests, and team memberships

            Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the App.
        

6 Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You can view all your data within the App (profile, stats, games, teams, badges).
Correction: You can update your username and profile photo at any time.
Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page.
Data portability: If you would like a copy of your data, contact us at the email below.

To exercise any of these rights, you may use the in-app features or contact us directly.

7 Children's Privacy

EZ Buckets is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below so we can take appropriate action.

8 Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services for infrastructure only:

Supabase — Database hosting. Privacy Policy
Railway — Server hosting. Privacy Policy

We do not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, social media SDKs, or tracking tools.

9 International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to facilities operated by our service providers, which may be located in different jurisdictions. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
